Pre-school Halloween Party
Luke had a super fun Halloween party last Friday at pre-school. They made spider hats, ate some spooky snacks, played games, and listened to Halloween music. The parents were invited and it was so cute to see the kids at school. Some kids turned super shy when their parents were there. Not Luke though! He was acting even crazier than normal. :)

Scary Punkin
After picking out the perfect pumpkin, Luke got to take it to Daddy's and Pumpkins Night at pre-school last week. JC said that most of the kids just made a simple face or used the pre-cut sticker packs to decorate with. But not Luke...He had to use every possible decoration and make the craziest pumpkin ever! He calls it his "scary punkin." I agree. This thing is frightening to look at. :)

An artist in the making?
So far, Luke is following in his Daddy's footsteps with his creativity. He really loves using markers. Sometimes he draws something, then stops to look at it, and then decides what it is. Other times, he tells me what he's drawing while he's doing it. He still uses both his left and right hands. I'm not sure which one will win out! Here are a few of his latest pieces of artwork...

Our Superhero Pumpkin Squad
We picked up right where we left off last year with Spiderman, Ironman, and Batman. This year we carved 2 more superheroes and 1 villain. Luke was not into cleaning out the pumpkin guts. He doesn't like to get his hands messy. On a side note...I have no idea where he would pick up that trait. :) Anyway, he did help JC do some carving and he was the creative director!
Without further ado, I give you the creation of Fin Fang Foom, Wolverine, and Hulk!

1st Field Trip!
Last Friday, the parents and kids in Luke's pre-school class took a trip to Russell Farms. We spent 2 hours in the super cold and rainy weather, but it was worth it. Luke had been talking about going to the "punkin" patch for 2 weeks. He was so excited with anticipation! We got to pet a bunch of animals, took a tracker ride, and picked out a pumpkin!
The turkey was really loud. It startled Luke a bit.

Hanging out with one of his pre-school buddies and petting a goat.

We were the last ones in the field picking out a pumpkin because Luke had to test out each one. He was on a quest to find the littlest pumpkin so he could carry it by the stem.

The winner!

The annual bench picture
Here is the 3rd annual bench picture of Luke with his buddies (the Nottingham and Warner crews). Check out last year's picture. It's crazy to see how much they've changed! This picture was taken just before Marisa's 4th baby, Knox, was born. He didn't quite make the cut this year. And just think... next year, Knox, and Baby Trombley 2.0 will be added to the bench. I'm not sure the bench is long enough to accommodate our 10 children!

Baby 2.0 update
I am 27 1/2 weeks along...still no kidney pain! AMEN! Just got back from the Dr. this morning. I had my glucose test today. Hoping that comes back ok, but we won't know for a few days. And we scheduled Baby 2.0's induction date today. She'll be arriving on January 2nd (if everything continues to go smoothly)!!! So, only 11 weeks and 3 days to go! I can't believe how quickly this pregnancy has gone. It's much more enjoyable when you're not on narcotics. And I'm so happy to have her induction on the calendar. It's perfect, since it's right after the holidays, but a week before Amanda's wedding. What a relief to know that I won't be walking down the aisle and ruining her wedding if my water breaks!

Happy 1/2 Birthday
Luke officially turned 2 1/2 on October 6th. I'm a big fan of birthdays...mainly for the presents (it's all about quantity, not quality). So, I decided that we needed to start celebrating Luke's 1/2 birthdays. I'm hoping this catches on, as mine is October 28th (hint, hint, JC) I made Luke's favorite dinner...mac n' cheese (Scooby Doo, inspired by his buddy Emma). And I baked 1/2 of a cake. It looked awful, but tasted great. Luke loved having a mini-birthday!

BSB love
My first love will always be the Backstreet Boys. JC knew this when we started dating and he's made his peace with it. Tuesday they released their 7th CD! My BFF, Amanda, and I pretty much cemented our friendship around our love for Brian and Nick. We have been together to buy almost every new BSB CD. In high school and college, we would stay up till midnight to get them right away. One time we saw another groups of girls doing the same thing. We were still in our late teens/early 20's and they were 30. I remember Amanda and I saying that we would never do that when we were their "old" age and totally made fun of them. Well, we didn't go at midnight this year. We had the dignity to wait until 11:00 the next morning. :)

Is loving movies genetic?
Last weekend, we took Luke to see his first movie at the theater. This was a VERY special day in the Trombley household. If you know us at all, then you know our obsession with movies. We waited to take Luke until now because Toy Story was re-released in 3-D. This is one of Luke's favorites (as well as his Daddy). The experience was AWESOME! I must say that I slightly teared up as we were all sitting in the theater together (it was probably just the pregnancy hormones). Luke loved every bit of the experience from the movie posters to the trailers and from the entire bag of popcorn he ate to watching a movie on the big screen!

Luke's version of the ABC's
He gets most of the letters right, but F is an X and he switches J and K. Ha Ha!

Type A?
I'm pretty sure Luke is my child...if you take away the fact that I remember giving birth to him, I'd still be sure he's mine. I used to think he was more like JC...laid back and mello. But not anymore...Now he's super dramatic and lately he has been extremely particular about the same things I'm particular about. If my slight OCD tendencies are genetic, then he got those genes for sure.
Point A: He does NOT like getting messy when he eats. He's 2 1/2 and still insists on wearing a bib when he eats cereal or yogurt (his messiest foods). When I say, "You don't have to wear a bib." He'll say, "I don't want to get my shirt messy!"
Point B: He likes his toys and things in certain places. If you move them, he gets really irritated.
Point C: He often lines up his toys or blocks in straight lines, by shape or color. Today he was playing in his room for 20 minutes while I put away laundry. I came back to find all of his blocks sorted by shape in a line. I must say, I was pretty proud of his organizational skills. :)
