Ice Skating Fun

Over Christmas, we went ice skating outdoors in West Lafayette. Luke did great! Em had fun watching from the sidelines with Nana.

Christmas Highlights

We traveled to W. Lafayette one weekend, Evansville the next, and back to Evansville to see what Santa brought while we were gone. Whew. It was another whirlwind Christmas with a Christmas program where Luke played Santa, family time, presents, cookies, more presents, the Grinch, gingerbread houses, and more presents.

I'm a Godmother!

We were so excited to be in Evansville a few weeks ago for our nephew, Isaac's baptism. I am honored to be his Aunt and Godmother! Here's a picture of us after church...along with his Godfather, Jessie's brother.

Last week, Emerson went to Grandma's house for some one-on-one time. So we had a whole week with just Luke. He has been asking to go bowling forever. We had such a blast!

DineQuest

For the past 9 years, we have been meeting once every month or 2 for DineQuest with our awesome friends, The Hoopers. We take turns picking a local, non-chain restaurant. It's a tradition that JC and I always look forward to. Last month, Phil took us to Salute...owned and operated by Tony, an Italian man in his 80's. There are no other hosts, servers, or cooks. It's just Tony, God bless his old Italian soul. When we got there, all the lights were off, but he went back into the kitchen and turned them on. He doesn't use heat, so we had to wear our coats (and hats and gloves) the whole time. Tony took our drinks orders. When we asked for ice in our waters, he said he'd have to make it. We said, never mind! :) We got there at 7:00pm, and weren't served our main dish until 9:30! He made the pasta from scratch right then. It was a VERY interesting and fun night!

Thanksgiving Feast

Ask Luke what he is thankful for and his answer is "Everything!" We had fun at pre-school celebrating with his friends. They sang a few turkey songs, enjoyed a delicious feast and we got to attend chapel with him.

Gulf Shores 2011

Another year at the beach! Super bummed that John, Jessie, and Isaac couldn't join us this year. We're already counting down the days until next November!






This year Luke requested that we make my feet into bear claws.


Go-Karts! We were hoping Luke would enjoy them this year, but he's still not a fan. JC did about 2 laps with him. :)

Silly Girl

This little girl is hilarious, adorable, whiney, sweet, persistent, and opinionated. She likes to tell knock-knock jokes that make no sense, play with her brother's super heros, and scream my name very loudly.
