His Image

Check out the new pictures of Luke that my friend Kelly took! They are adorable... if I do say so myself. :) He wasn't being very cooperative, but as an amazing, professional photographer, she was still able to get some great shots!

FIRST EVER Tech YL club!

After 4 years of praying, fundraising, and meeting with our committee, we finally had our FIRST EVER Young Life club on Tech's campus. Over 50 kids came! We played games, danced to loud music, acted silly, consumed 15 pizzas, and signed kids up for camp. It was a HUGE success! Our 3 leaders did an amazing job. And to quote my friend Josh, "Yahweh provides!"

Last Friday, Luke's buddy Kai came over for the day. The 2 had a great time playing trains, fighting with light sabers, going with me to Target, and playing outside. We had a picnic lunch on the back porch too.

Happy Easter

We decorated eggs on Good Friday with Nana and Grandpa Trombley. On Easter morning we did an egg hunt before church. We must have hide and re-hide the eggs for 30 minutes. Luke thought finding eggs was the coolest thing ever. He didn't even care what was inside!

Revamping the landscaping

We finally got our old house's yard in the condition we wanted...and then we moved. So now we have been working on our new yard (in between all the rainy days)! JC really doesn't like to do yard work, but he humors me anyway....good husband!

Step 2...Redo the flower beds. We made the backyard beds look nicer and added to the front yard.

My Dad and JC also added a garden on the side of our house. It's almost done (pictures soon!) But check out the cool flower box they made using the leftover wood from our old fence!

Luke turns 2!

Luke had a fantastic birthday. All of his family and friends who are practically family came over to celebrate with him and spoil him rotten. I actually didn't take a single picture, but managed to collect them from everyone who did (thanks!) Here are my favorites!

I made sushi!!!

I have a somewhat recent discovery of sushi. I really enjoy trying different kinds. I have had the tools to make my own for a while, but I just got around to it. Anyway, I had to post a picture because I was so proud of myself. :) This roll had avocado, cucumber, crab, and a spicy sirachi sauce. It was so much fun to make and not as difficult as I thought it would be. Definitely not the prettiest looking sushi, but it was delicious!

Bridesmaid Brunch

My BFF, Amanda is getting married in 9 months, so I hosted a little get together at my house for all of the bridesmaids. We ate, had some girl time and talked wedding. It's going to be THE wedding of 2010! :)
