Thanksgiving feast...

Luke had a super fun Thanksgiving party last Friday! They had made costumes that morning. I almost didn't recognize my little pilgrim when I arrived to the feast! They also made placemats with handprint turkey's and a book full of things they are thankful for. It was adorable!



Notice all of the surrounding feathers are thankful for their mommy's. Not Luke...he is thankful for God (what a spiritual child!) and snack (yep, he's my kid!)




Most of the kids in his class are extremely shy when parents are there. Luke is pretty much the opposite. He was yelling cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeese the whole time parents were taking pictures. I don't know where he gets this whole idea of being the center of attention...must be from JC. :)

Beer belly vs. Baby belly

A few weeks ago, we went to Brown County for a night to see my parents, as well a my "aunt" and "uncle", BJ and Mike. It was so much fun to hang out in IU country! :)

The annual GULF SHORES vacation!

We've only been back for a week and we already can't wait for next year's trip! It is one of our family's favorite times of the year...Gulf Shores, AL.



This year we went with my Mom, Dad, John, and Jessie. We took about 12,000 pictures. Here are just some of the highlights from our wonderful week...

Building sandcastles in the sand... (which totally reminded us of the How I Met Your Mother episode.)




Went to the most amazing park in the world...




Had so much fun drawing Luke's name in the sand and letting Daddy give us Dragon tails and feet.





We swam every day...even the first 2 days when Tropical Storm Ida hit and the heater on the pool was broken. Lucky, the storm passed and the heater was fixed, cause those first 2 days, the pool was ice! Didn't seem to faze Luke. Although JC was a bit chilly...ha ha








Grandma and Grandpa took Luke to the zoo. He got to meet Chucky the alligator. Chucky is famous in Gulf Shores. He's 1,000 pounds and was missing for 5 days during Hurricane Ivan a few years ago!

Sheriff Woody worked on this Toy Story puzzle about 100 times during the rainy, tropical storm days.



We ate at our favorite restaurant Lambert's again, where they throw rolls at you. Luke did a great job catching his, but it totally freaked him out cause the thing was kinda hot!



And finally, the famous shark at souvenir city! I think this guy and the giant purple octopus next door, were Luke's favorite parts of the trip. He's still asking me to drive by them!

The helicarrier

Lately, Luke's new TV show obsession (completely inspired by his super-hero obsessed father) is Superhero Squad. For the past week, Luke has only wanted to be addressed as Ironman. And I apparently have been dubbed as Thor. Here is a sample conversation...

Me: Luke, get in the car please.

Luke: No Mommy. Say, Ironman get in the car please.

Me: OK...Iroman get in the car please.

Luke: It's not a car, Thor. It's the helicarrier.

(FYI-The helicarrier is the vehicle of transportation for the superhero squad)

Me: OK...Ironman, please get in the helicarrier.

Luke: OK Thor.

Costume Kid

So, Halloween wasn't really that big of a deal for Luke, since he dresses up in random costumes every day. I usually get him dressed in the morning. Then an hour later, he will disappear for a few minutes and reappear completely naked and holding some sort of costume. Here are a few pictures from yesterday's outfits.

Happy Halloween!

This was a fun filled weekend that was jam-packed with Halloween goodness every second of the days! We kicked off Halloween with an awesome party at our friends, The Warner's, house. Everyone dressed up, we ate too much food and waaaaayyy too much sugar. Saturday morning we drove to Lafayette to spend the day with The Trombley's. We got to see a bunch of JC's cousins and their kids. Luke had a great time playing with everyone and trick-or-treating! Here are some pictures from our adventures!

JC and I decided to be Bella and Edawrd (from the 4th twilight book). Check out the T-shirt JC made me...it has an ultrasound of a vampire baby. :)



Mel and David always dress up for Halloween and make the best costumes! This year Mel was a German beer girl and David was a Ghostbuster. We got to witness the behind the scenes action of the making of their costumes this year. So fun. I never realized how much effort goes into their costumes each year.
