Last Sunday we went to the Fishers Freedom Festival Parade, followed by Avery's 1st birthday party. Luke had never been to a parade before and he totally dug it. He was waving and shouting hi to every person that went by. Hopefully we can make this a tradition in our family.

Annual Tech Zoo Trip

Going to the zoo this year with the Tech crew was a whole new experience for Luke and I. He LOVED it and was way more interested than last year. Here are some of my favorite pictures.

Luke thought petting the sharks was the coolest thing he's ever seen. he would have stayed there all day if I let him. I guess he didn't inherit my phobia of being eaten alive.

Cousin Day

Last week, my mom, my cousins, Courtney and Kelly and my aunts, Dianna and Angie came to visit. CJ brought her precious baby, Dietrich to play with Luke. Luke thought he was pretty cool. I have a feeling they are going to be good buddies in a few years!

Strawberry Picking

About 3 years ago, Kelly and I took her girls (this was pre- Kai, Luke, and Avery) to the strawberry patch in Noblesville to pick strawberries. It was so much fun. Afterwards we looked everywhere for cute strawberry paper and stickers to scrapbook with. There was NOTHING! Of course this year we came across the cutest strawberry scrappin' accessories. So, we bought some stuff and decided to go back with the kids and our cameras. We made sure to take pictures so we could use our cute scrappin' materials. You know you're obsessed with scrapbooking when you buy the materials first and then plan an event around them. Ha ha! The Nottinghams joined us too and we had a blast. I think Luke ate about 50 strawberries (green stems and all). They were pretty tiny little strawberries, but they made one heck of a delicious pie!

Here's the crew. Reese, Kenna, Emma, Macy, Luke, Kai, and Avery. Poor Lincoln missed the fun...he was home napping. Just think...next year we'll have 2 more to add to this bunch!

Hail = new roof???

We had a pretty rough storm here a few weeks ago. I was home with Luke by myself, since JC was working late. Water started pouring into our dining room. Our power went out, I was freaking out, and Luke was holding his horsey flashlight and saying, "What's happening Mommy?" After what seemed like 2 hours of pounding hail, thunder, lightning, and TONS of rain, I went outside to discover some pretty significant damage to our roof and house, as well as shingles and hail littering the yard! We are still waiting for the insurance company to come out and assess the damage.

Look at all the dents!

All of those whiteish spots are where hail hit.

Water was pouring down the wall at that corner.

Hail tore our screens!

Doesn't it look like a wild animal tried to claw its way into our house!

Finishing the playset

My dad's masterpiece is complete! He came back up during his birthday weekend (of all the days!) to put the finishing touches on Luke's awesome playset! Here are some of the guys at work...

Girls Day

So, while Luke was gone for a few days in Evansville, I got to have a girls day with my favorite 4, 5, and 6 year olds. We went out for lunch, painted our nails, watched Peter Pan, and had a fun afternoon! MaKenna turned to me during lunch and said, "Sara, I'm just so happy, I think I might cry. I love girls day!" So sweet!

Surprise...

We're having another baby! I'm 9 weeks pregnant and the little bean is doing great. This is a picture from our ultrasound this week. It's hard to believe that blob is a baby! The bean has a strong, fast heartbeat and is about a 1/2 inch long. I've been feeling pretty pregnant, with morning sickness all day, but the first trimester is almost over, so hopefully that will go away soon. We took Luke to the ultrasound and he kept calling the picture "baby lukie." He totally doesn't get it. I'm due on January 9th, which is crazy because that is the day my bff, Amanda is getting married and I'm the maid of honor. Ha Ha!!!

I'm sure some of you are thinking that I am CRAZY to be pregnant again. And I probably am. But Luke was obviously SO worth the pain of the last round and I know I can handle it again. I have a new doctor and she is GREAT (very encouraging). I have no idea what the next 7 months has in store, but I'm ready for it. Of course, when I go back and read this and this, I have moments where I think I must be insane. But JC and I feel lead by God to do this, so we're following His lead. I'm PRAYING that the saying "every pregnancy is different" is true in my case! :) Only time will tell...
