0-30-60-90

This is a great 4 generation shot of Emerson, JC, Nana, and G.G. This year they will turn 0, 30, 60, and 90 respectively. How cool is that?

Luke's recent artwork

Here are a few of my favorites! He attempted writing his name for the first time and I LOVE his yellow monster!

A few weeks ago, Luke was outside playing on the swingset. JC and I were both inside, but we had the door open and were watching him. All of the sudden we heard a blood curdling scream. I thought he had surely fallen and broken something. He kept screaming as we raced out to the back yard. He was sitting on the top deck sobbing hysterically. JC climbed up and said, "What's wrong?" Luke's response? "A bug landed on my arm." Seriously? Anyone that knows me, knows that I am TERRIFIED of spiders. Even typing that word just creeped me out a little. But I have tried so hard not to freak out around Luke. Apparently he got my phobia. Is that genetic?

But the story doesn't end there. While JC was consoling Luke, the doorbell rings. It was a police office who said, "Is everything ok? I was driving by and I heard the screams." Wow. Luke thought it was pretty cool that he got to talk to a policeman. Since the bug incident, he has 2 nightmares about bugs. So today, JC took him outside and they went on a bug quest. We're hoping to show him how bugs are really cool (they are soooo not cool) and hopefully his phobia will disappear!

Mr. Independent

Now that Luke is a big 3 year old, I've noticed a major change! He wants to do EVERYTHING by himself! He can be super bossy and probably thinks he is big enough to climb Mt. Everest. Anyway, this morning I ran upstairs for 30 seconds to grab Emerson. Luke was quietly eating his breakfast. I came back down to this...a refill gone wrong!

Luke turns 3!!!

For Luke's actual birthday, we had a jam-packed awesome day! He had pancakes for breakfast. Then we went to the Warners house and played outside in their bounce house. After nap, JC came home early and we went to the park. And then Luke picked one of his favorite restaurants, C.R. Heroes. It's completely covered in super heros! I wonder why he likes it? :) They also had a lady there who made balloon animals for all the kids. It was quite a day!!!

Here's luke getting his balloon belt and sword!

Spring has Sprung!

We've been enjoying the amazing weather! Luke has been asking me if we can swim every day, so last week when it was 80 degrees, we busted out his new rocket sprinkler! See ya later winter.

Easter

After an awesome birthday party on Saturday, we celebrated Easter with both of our families. It was quite a day! Emerson was baptized and we finally became members of our church, Redeemer Presbyterian. It was so great to have both of our families and some of our close friends support Emerson. We are so thankful to God for placing his mark on Emer, and allowing us to raise her to know Jesus.

Happy Birthday Luke!

Luke turned the big 3 last week :) Wow...time flies! Seems like just yesterday he looked like this...

And now he's such a big boy!!!

We had an awesome Buzz Lightyear party with Luke's family and close friends last weekend. We moonwalked on bubble wrap, played defeat Zurg bowling, had spaceship cake, and rocket jello. Here are some of my favorite shots of the day!

Pretend

This kid could not be more in love with Toy Story. He's seen both movies way too much and talks ALL THE TIME about going to the theater in June for the new movie. He watches the trailer online on a weekly basis. So of course, he's having a Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Birthday Party this Saturday and he could not be more excited! Marisa let us borrow their Woody and Jessie for the party. Luke's face LIT up when I showed him. He immediately took them outside, along with his Buzz and RC and they played all afternoon. He acts out scenes with them and rescues them from imaginary Zurg. It's hilarious.

He's like the real-life Andy!
