Born to be a shepherd
We were all excited for Luke's Christmas program. Grandma and Grandpa came up from Evansville. His first big debut!!! If you know Luke, you would know how much he loves being the center of attention. So we all thought that he would steal the show! And he did...only it was for his stubborn personality and his unwillingness to perform. Turns out, my little leader didn't want to be a sheep. He wanted to be the shepherd. He's not really the following type. Once he finally made it down the aisle, to the stage, he turned around and sat down with a scowl on his face. All of the other kids were smiling sweetly, and standing up for their photo op. Sigh...He got quite a laugh from the crowd though. JC and I pretended not to know him. :)

Emme Update
I can NOT believe that Em is almost a year old. I can barely type this just thinking about it. She is such a fun baby! We adore her. She's a ham in front of the camera (which she totally gets from JC, right?). She and Luke play really well together...so far. He loves making her laugh. Emerson has such a sweet personality. She rarely cries, unless you put her in the car seat. I'm guessing the 13 hour car trip to Gulf Shores ruined her love of travel. She is still a GREAT sleeper. She's crawling everywhere, but doesn't seem motivated to pull herself up. I don't think she cares about walking. But she has picked up a little sign language. She can do the sign for "more"....guess she's motivated when it comes to food!

GULF SHORES!!!
Things have been so insanely busy since our vacation, that I literally haven't had a second to blog pictures since we returned. It feels like Gulf Shores was 16 months ago, instead of only 16 days. It was another GREAT, and much needed trip. We went over Thanksgiving week again this year. It's a little weird to eat turkey at the beach, but my mom made an awesome meal, so it still felt like Thanksgiving! Emerson was pretty unsure about the beach. She wasn't into the sand, but loved the pool. Luke was in the pool every morning at 8:00 a.m. and basically stayed in all morning. I read 8 books. We saw Harry Potter. Luke flew a kite with Grandpa. Jessie, my mom, and I did the whole black friday thing (which I only do because my mom promised me Cracker Barrel afterwards). JC enjoyed miniature golfing. And we took Luke go-karting for the first time (which I'm pretty sure he hated...we may have scarred him for life)! We played tons of Settlers with John. And we ate at all of our favorite places. So, without further ado...here are the pictures...
