My Best Friend's Bridal Shower

This past weekend I had the privilege of throwing my BFF, Amanda, her first bridal shower! It was so much fun and totally made me wish I could re-register. :) We've been waiting for this day for a LONG time. Adam was definitely worth her wait though. The next 3 months are going to be filled with wedding preparations, more showers and parties, and finally the WEDDING! This shower seemed like a kick-off to all the excitement! Thanks for letting me be part of your story, AC!

Baby Room Decorated: CHECK!

Ever since we fund out that we're having a GIRL, we've been working on her room. We painted 3 walls turquoise. Then we wallpapered 1 wall with this cool textured stuff and painted it bright pink. My mom came up for a few days last week to help me sew some curtains and a bumper for the baby room. She basically ended up doing the entire bumper by herself. It turned out great. I did manage to make the curtain, but I had to ask her a question every 30 seconds. So we're pretty much ready for Trombley 2.0 to come into our lives. Only 3 months to go!

A sweet message

Here is an e-mail that Luke typed up and JC sent to me last Thursday when I was at Tech. He's really into finding letters on the keyboard. Then at the end of the email you can see where JC started asking him what he wanted to say to me and typing it for him. Hilarious!

All about Luke

For pre-school, Luke had to design a placemat with us that he will use all year long. He was asked to draw, include pictures, etc... basically including anything that represents himself. JC asked Luke what he wanted to draw and helped him. Luke colored JC's artwork in and placed stickers. Here's the finished product...I think it's a pretty accurate representation of our 2 year old!

23 weeks and counting

Well folks, I'm knocking on wood...but so far I've passed the point of the start of my kidney issues from my last round of pregnancy. Woo-hoo!!! I'm hoping that I've made it an the rest will be smooth sailing, but I know it could still happen. Trying to stay positive and realistic at the same time. Anyway, this pregnancy has been going well. I have the normal aches and pains, but I mostly feel pretty good. Only 4 more months to go!

Let the schooling begin...

So, Luke's first of pre-school was this week. We had already been to a meet the teacher day last week, and he loved it. I made him dinosaur pancakes for breakfast. Then JC and I took him to school. As I was signing him in, he ran right into the classroom without so much as a glance goodbye at me. I was slightly heartbroken. But I predicted that would happen and was glad he at least he went in without a fuss. When I went to pick him up, he seemed excited to see me (which redeemed his action of ignoring me that morning!) But his teacher had me sign an accident report. Apparently he "whacked" (Luke's words) some kid with a dinosaur. Certainly my precious little Luke wouldn't do such a thing and embarrass him mommy on the first day. :) Oh well. The teacher said not to worry...it's a completely normal reaction for a 2 year old. She also told me that they learned that he is quite the little escape artist...no surprise there either. He likes to explore. On the car ride home, Luke told me all about the raccoon story they read, itsy bitsy spider, and holding hands with his new friends. And he's pumped to be heading back tomorrow. So, I feel like the first day was a success!

He really wanted to take his new sword from Aunt Jessie and Uncle John with him. Good thing I didn't let him...who knows how many more kids he would have attacked!
