Baby Dietrich
On Friday Luke and I spent the day in Lafayette with my cousin CJ and her new baby, Dietrich. He is adorable and was named after our Grandpa. Luke kept calling him Baby Trick. Anyway, we had a fun day trading war stories about pregnancy, labor, and motherhood. :)

What time is it?
Luke is your average 2 year old boy...he's always on the go! Sometimes I look at the clock and think, "How can it only be 10 a.m.? We've already had breakfast, painted, taken a bath, done crafts, played outside, had a snack, and built a fort." Luke loves doing all of those things but each activity only holds his interest for about 10 minutes! :)

Playing outside in the warmer (45 degree) weather. This kid LOVES sticks, rocks, and dirt.

Painting a picture for Daddy.

Hiding out in his fort.

Finally sitting still while watching Sesame Street.

Leader Summit
JC and I just got back from an AWESOME weekend with our Tech Young Life leaders! They are so much fun to hang out with. We went to some great seminars and they got to experience club! Saturday night, we tried to go bowling, but it was an hour and a half wait, so we hit the arcade and got ice cream instead. We had fun bonding with them! JC and I were also reminded that we're almost 30...our college days are over. We were exhausted trying to keep up with the leaders! We're used to our 2 year old, who goes to bed at 7:00. :) If you want to see more pictures or keep up with Tech YL, visit our blog!

Everyone's doing it...
Have you heard of the 25 random things yet? Everyone on facebook has. It's become such a big thing that the newspapers have even reported on it. 10 of my friends tagged me on facebook to write a list of 25 random things about myself. For those of you who don't do facebook (I'm talking to you, JC), I thought I'd blog mine too. :) Too much information? Maybe...but in my opinion, that's what blogging is all about!

1. I wear flip flops 365 days out of the year
2. Love to cook, hate to bake
3. I am a coca cola snob. I have certain rules about the best way to drink a coke. In case you want to know, a McDonald's Large coke in a styrofoam cup is the way to go.
4. I think the smell of a clean house is heavenly.
5. I vacuum (somewhere in my house) every day.
6. I floss obsessively.
7. My favorite day of the year is the Saturday after Thanksgiving. In my house we always spend the day decorating for Christmas.
8. My favorite word is the word "favorite." I love it. I use it all the time to describe everything. I know that saying everything is my favorite defeats the purpose of the word, but I don't care.
9. I pretty much exaggerate everything and most of the time I don't even notice that I'm doing it.
10. I read an average of 2 books a week.
11. I am a big fan of scary movies. My favorite are slasher movies, especially the Scream trilogy!
12. I am a list maker. My motto is "Make a list...you'll feel better." Currently I have 12 active lists.
13. In high school, my nickname was Nightrider. No one really calls me that anymore and I miss it.
14. My favorite part of my weekdays is going to the grocery store on Monday mornings with Luke. It's quiet and I love taking my time to pick out our food for the week and teaching Luke all about it.
15. I miss my high school dance team. Performing in front of people was one of the best feelings.
16. I want to learn karate.
17. My dream job would be running a bookstore.
18. I have an aversion to wrists. It's wierd. I can't stand having mine touched, or talking about them. Even typing this is making my stomach queasy.
19. Even though my pregnancy was the worst experience of my life and I said I would never do it again, I'm actually considering it. Luke is amazing and I'm ready for another baby.
20. I married my best friend and God planned an awesome life for us.
21. I can triple roll my tongue. It's pretty cool and I hope Luke inherits that trait.
22. I don't own a winter coat and even if I did, I wouldn't wear it.
23. I wish I could star on Broadway in the musical Wicked.
24. Most parents teach their kids what sounds animals make...JC and I have taught Luke what super heros do.
25. Giving my life to Jesus was the best decision I have ever made.

Snow Day!
Last week, we had 12.5 inches of snow. It was so great. JC couldn't even get to work on Wednesday, so we had a snow day! It was the first big snow this winter that Luke hasn't been sick for. We got all bundled up and helped JC shovel the driveway.

I'm ready to shovel!

JC showing Luke how to make a snowball.

Past his knees and still snowing!

So helpful!
