Under the weather...

I wish I had something more exciting to post, but Luke has been sick for the past 3 days. He started out with a runny nose, and low fever. We thought it was just teething, but now his fever his higher. He's going to the dr. later today. He doesn't seem to be to upset about being sick though. He's still crawling around and getting into trouble. He has been sleeping alot more though. Hopefully he'll have a restful weekend and be back to his energetic self soon!

Look What I Can Do!

Luke just decided on Sunday that he wanted to start clapping. He's been clapping non-stop all week. It's hard to get a video of it because he rarely sits still for more than 5 seconds. This is the best I could do...

By the way, the awesome red Hoosier replica pants that Luke is wearing are courtesy of my mom for Christmas. They look just like the IU basketball teams warm-up pants. I love them! (JC doesn't.)

9 months old and on the move...

Luke is on the move. He's into EVERYTHING! He climbs under anything that he can fit through, crawls into all kinds of interesting places, and is starting to cruise around the room if he is holding on to something. When I say "NO!", he stops, looks at me, gives me a huge smile, and then goes back to doing whatever I told him to stop doing in the first place. I can't help but smile back... I think I'm in trouble!

This is how Luke has been sitting lately...doesn't look too comfortable!

We Built This City

Every year at Christmas, JC, my brother, sister-in-law, and I make a movie. We've done "Homecoming Queen has a Gun" and "Most Extreme Elimination Challenge." This year we settled on a remake of the classic 80's song, "We Built This City." JC directed the video on a homemade "green screen" in our basement. Currently the video is in post-production :) Here are some behind the scene shots...

More Christmas Pictures

My mom just brought me a CD of pictures that she had taken over the holidays. Some are so cute, I had to post them.

We rented a huge house in Nashville, IN to spend time with my mom's side of the family over break. It was so much fun. Here's the whole crew.

Luke was really into playing pool with the guys :)

A family shot in Newburgh

This rocking horse was mine when I was little. Luke loves it!

Happy New Year!

We had such a fun and busy Christmas season! First we celebrated as a family at home before driving to Evansville. We spent a few days there with my side of the family. Then we drove to West Lafayette for Christmas number 3. After that we headed to Brown County to see my mom's side of the family. It was quite a whirlwind. Luke had a great time seeing all of his family and opening a million gifts. Of course he was more interested in eating the wrapping paper than the actual gifts.

2007 was a pretty crazy year for us. I thought I would be glad when it was over, since it didn't start out so well. But it only got better and better after Luke was born. Turns out it was a pretty great year.

Hope you had a great Christmas! Happy new year!
