This is how I feel about today.
Sunday night, I started puking at midnight...finished up around 8 a.m. Aren't you glad I shared that with you? Yesterday was pretty much a blur. I drifted in and out of consciousness for most of the day. Slept pretty well last night and woke up today feeling much better. I was a little weak since I hadn't eaten in 2 days, but I put my game face on, sent JC to work, and headed back full force into my mommy duties.
Here's what transpired between 11 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
Luke had swim lessons this morning. I had just finished getting the kids back into the car and headed for home when I got a call from our carpet cleaner. He was at our house 2 hours early. So I rushed home, and put my wet and hungry kids in the kitchen. As I'm feeding kids, and the carpet guy is working, I hear my cat Puma meowing. Can't find her anywhere. I finally track the meow's to the kitchen. Somehow she has managed to climb in a cabinet door and jump through a small opening and is stuck behind the dishwasher. This was no easy feat since Puma is the fattest cat on earth. I could not get her out. So, while the kids are eating, I call JC at work, put him on speakerphone and listen while he directs me in dismantling the dishwasher. That took about 20 minutes. Meanwhile, the carpet guy finishes and leaves. I send Luke into the playroom, so I can finish rescuing Puma.
I'm almost done, when I hear "Mommy, I pooped" Of course, not on the potty, in his underwear...we've been struggling with that part of potty training for months. I tell him that I can't deal with that until I finish with Puma. I finally get the dishwasher out. Puma is free! I feel like I'm about to collapse from exhaustion, when I hear, "It's running down my leg." What? You have GOT to be kidding!
The carpet hadn't been clean for 30 minutes and I already have drops of diarrhea ALL OVER THE CARPET!!!!!! At this point, I pretty much lost it. I used an entire box of wipes on Luke, just to clean him enough to get him upstairs to the shower. I hosed him down, put him in a pull-up and sent him straight to bed in tears. Meanwhile, Emerson is downstairs screaming cause she's hungry again. I fed her, put her to sleep, and spent the next hour cleaning up poop and putting my dishwasher back together.
And now I'm venting on my blog.

Yikes. Sounds like a pretty crappy day (pun def. intended). I've also have the pleasure of hearing Luke say, "The poop is coming down" while in the back seat of my car... God love him.
I hope tomorrow is better!
You are super mom!! We will take them whenever you need us!
so look at it this way...tomorrow HAS to be better than THAT! :) But really...what a day! Ugh!
Hopefully you have had better days since then. Yikes! What a bad day alltogether!
Love you!!
